Practising yoga in a chair can assist to feel clear, focused, connected and at ease, it offers a benchmark of how we can feel when sitting in any chair, anywhere, be it on the bus, at a desk, while driving or on a plane. We spend so much time sitting in chairs and can learn how to support ourselves to improve posture, concentration and levels of attention.
Sitting Yoga is especially suitable when there are time and space limitations as it requires no special clothing or equipment other than a chair to sit on, yet the benefits are still deeply felt. Many participants even report being more present and connected when sitting up compared to laying down. |
