"Deanne brings a beautiful depth of wisdom to her class, which always leaves me pondering on what she shared. What I found from the yoga is that I gained so much awareness about myself and how I am within certain situations in life. It gave me an amazing sense of connection to myself that I can appreciate the more I connect to this stillness. Esoteric yoga brings me the understanding of what union means. The quality left in my body after a class is like being in heaven. There is no other yoga practice I have done that has brought me this quality in my body. It is truly healing and I would highly recommend Deanne’s class to anyone."
"I have been attending Esoteric Yoga classes for around six months and can't imagine life without them. I have quite a stressful job, and until I started the classes, I hadn't realised how much I had let the stress and pressure of my daily work affect me both physically and emotionally. Thanks to these classes, I have begun to use the techniques we apply in the class on a daily basis – resulting in less stress at work and a better appreciation of life in general. I am calmer and more relaxed, and more at ease with myself."
Esoteric Yoga is a deeply restful and rejuvenating practice; it is suitable for all fitness levels and states of physical health. It is also known as The Yoga of Stillness.
Esoteric Yoga is based on the psychology and teachings of Patanjali - ‘The Father of Yoga' - in alignment with teachings that are ancient and yet adjusted to suit our current times.
The focus on the physical body and a gentle approach to movement supports re-connection to Stillness – a quality that is naturally within everybody.
After many years of practising and presenting Hatha Yoga and Eastern Meditations Deanne and Simon have been deeply touched, if not astonished, by the benefits of this simple practise. Learning to hold the quality of stillness and move from this quality of being has had a powerful influence on their understanding of posture and movement and the innate wisdom we all have when we tune into the sensitivity of the body.
Re-connecting to Stillness equips us to handle the demands of modern society and live with steadiness, clarity and ease - a form of fitness that is essential for the way our modern society is.
This practice was founded in 1999 by Serge Benhayon, Director of Universal Medicine.
