Esoteric Connective Tissue Therapy
"I have been receiving Esoteric Connective Tissue Therapy regularly for three years now. During sessions I am able to feel layers of tension throughout my body unwind, some very deep seated! I have felt much anxiety clear and am then able to feel into my body more easily. As the deeper tension lets go I feel as though my body is dropping away. |
Esoteric Connective Tissue Therapy uses subtle, reassuring and repetitive movements that assist the recipient to surrender deeply and access the body's self-healing capacity, restoring balance and harmony.
Many people report in sessions that it feels like deeply held tensions are unravelling and unwinding as if the whole body is being de-pressurised in the tissues and organs. This makes sense as connective tissue is all through our bodies, and it is closely associated with the nervous, endocrine and lymphatic systems as well as the cranial sacral fluid that protects and pulses up and down the spinal cord and encases the brain. In its role as muscle fascia, connective tissue wraps around muscles to facilitate free, fluid and gliding movement. It becomes very strong, fibrous tissue in tendons and ligaments to connect muscles and bones while it can also be thin and delicate tissue working as elastic lining around the lungs. Connective tissue also encases, supports and protects nerves, blood vessels and all organs of the body. So it really is the tissue that connects the whole body! Connective tissue also has nerve endings. We feel our connective tissue especially around muscles, joints and organs. We are feeling our connective tissue when we feel more open, relaxed and moving with ease as well as when we feel tense, tight and restricted. From an energetic perspective, connective tissue is very sensitive. It expands and becomes tender when the body feels safe and supported. It contracts and becomes hard when threatened with physical force and even emotional insult. Getting to know how our connective tissue feels allows us to develop more understanding of the quality of connection and presence that can support:
